Job Description
WRD is a small, independently owned electronics manufacturing and consultancy firm located in Newburyport, Massachusetts. WRD specializes in the design of application specific electronic controls for use in a wide range of industries, such as medical, industrial, military, and other fields.
We are seeking a Production Technician with ample experience in electronics manufacturing to aid our production team in producing and testing electronic controls.
Responsibilities
The Production Technician will work with the Operations Manager to ensure that open orders are fulfilled properly and on time. This involves keeping track of inventory, managing, and inspecting third party manufacturing, and reworking and troubleshooting controls which fail in testing. The Production Technician must be capable of working independently.
Main responsibilities include:
Working with Engineering to write test plans for products
Carrying out these testing plans for products
Kitting of components
Light electronics assembly as needed
Inventory control
Shipping/Receiving
Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
United States work authorization
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant field of electronics assembly. More preferred.
Background in electronics manufacturing
Baseline understanding of electronic components and circuitry
Ability to rework fine pitch SMT components up to QFN package
Computer Skills / Experience working with electronic inventory systems
